Xenia
Fedorchenko was born in Moscow, Russia. The 33 year old artist and teacher
presently is a resident of Beaumont Texas. She teaches Printmaking, Drawing
and Color Theory at Lamar University.
Fedorchenko
studied painting and drawing at Stroganov Institute for the arts in Moscow
Russia also the Art Students League in New York City. Her masters Degree
is from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville Illinois and her BFA
is from Lyme Academy College of Fine Art, old Lyme Connecticut. She has
exhibited work around the country and is in many private collections such
as the Kansas City Art Institute, Missouri, Oakland Museum of Art Oakland,
California, Milestone Graphics, Connecticut, Dishman Museum of art , Beaumont
Texas just to name a few. She will be showing her large scale figurative
Mono prints, etchings on handmade paper and mezzotints. Fedorchenko’s work
has an academic influence that is pushed to the edge and breaks through
to a refreshing, some times humorous, and exciting exploration of concepts
involving the figure and printmaking.
TCA
(TGA Studio Projects) Studio is owned and operated by Dan Mitchell
Allison and Kelly Moran since April 2002. TCA Studios serve as art exploration,
collaboration and an exhibition space for contemporary art. TCA is open
from noon to 5 Saturday and Sunday or by appointment and is located at
303 E. 11th St. Houston, 77008. For more information please call Texas

is located at 303 E. 11th Street Houston, TX next door to the Nau-haus
